ワカ太I saw a lot of pairing of Japanese sweets and sake at today's sakewa (though it was Ponchan and Lutemi), so I tried it as soon as I could.
I got this monaka from my husband's mother. Mr. Monaka with white bean paste ❤️
I'm a Northeasterner, so I'm a grainy bean paste 🫘.
I immediately paired it with a Purple Space Star Label 😋.
Star Label is a junmai ginjo unfiltered sake brewed with a combination of Iwate Prefecture's brand rice "Ginga no Shizuku" and "Giovanni no Chikara", an original yeast also from Iwate Prefecture.
The clear taste and elegant sweetness are mixed with the fresh and juicy flavor of the purple space and it tastes refreshing💕.
And when paired with the fresh white bean paste monaka, the sweetness somehow stands out 😆 💕!
