I drank it at a pub the other day and it was so good I had to repeat it at home 😆 It's a new product from ✌️ Foggy Tsukuba 😆.
I was curious about it, but to be honest, I was hesitant because it was described as super dry 💦.
The aroma is slightly muscat, with a bit of pineapple.
There is a hint of melon-like sweetness, followed by a hint of umami. It goes down the throat crisp and dry with a muscat-like acidity.
A slight semedai + muscat-like aroma wafts through the nose as it passes down the throat, and after a few seconds, the throat gets hot 😆.
Super dry? It's so fruity that you wonder if it's super dry, and it's good, but it's dry on the throat and the aftertaste: ❗️
It's so good 😆.
It's great with a meal 👍.
It goes well with yakitori with sauce, salad, sashimi, and probably anything else 😳.
If you are in need of a food wine, this is the one for you.
I think it would probably sell better if it wasn't listed as ultra-hot, but that's okay because I don't want Kiri-Chikuwa to become too popular and not be able to buy it 🤣.
It's good chilled, but I think it tastes better at room temperature. ☺️
