I went to the slopes to enjoy the snow that had been falling since Wednesday afternoon, but came home exhausted from the hard, wet snow.
My family kept a bottle of "Sanzui" chilled for me! There are four different label colors, each with a different brewing process. This black label is "unfiltered, bottle-fired".
This one is delicious when chilled to a crisp and very fruity. Sushi from the local supermarket is the main dish for dinner today, and it goes great with raw fish. Some sake has a fishy smell, but this one has none. It also goes well with sweet and spicy fish like conger eel. When you put it in your mouth, the sweetness spreads with the aroma, but there is a bitter aftertaste. This may be what makes it so refreshing, but there is no sweetness left in the mouth at all.
It is bliss.
The alcohol content is 15%, a little low.
