Ugh, it's sweet. Or should I say "sweet and strong"? The "Umakuchi" in the product name is a result of the sugar content. The sugar is no longer supporting the flavor, but rather playing the main role.
The alcohol content is quite strong, ranging from 20 to 21 degrees. I can understand why it tastes like a pure sake.
Good thing I bought a pocket size bottle.
According to the website of the Hokuseki Brewery, they only have aluzake. The label design of the brand name "Hokuseki Shuzo" has a Showa-era feel to it, which I like. I would like to buy it next time, just for the sake of scare.

This is a packaged liquor purchased at a nearby supermarket.

The unnaturally sweet spread is naturally completely dull. Of course, it discourages anyone who wants to drink it, and in a word or two, it tastes bad. If you're Sanzo, at least try to adjust it a little better.
