On the way to Aizuwakamatsu by train, I stopped in Kitakata for a quick visit to a sake brewery near the Kitakata station.
I had time to catch the train, so I hurried around.
There was some kind of festival going on, with food stalls and portable shrines parading through the streets!
We went to the Obara Sake Brewery, which brews sake by playing Mozart music to the sake mash!
We were treated to a tour of the brewery, a guided tour of the brewery, luxurious tastings, and excellent hospitality.
There were many things I was interested in, such as "Venus" brewed with yeast that stayed in space and "Peach Color Nigori" made with peach-colored yeast, but I decided to start with "Kura-shikku" made with Mozart's music.
The aroma was bright, with a hint of hard rice and peaches,
After the soft and sour taste comes,
After the soft sourness comes, the bitterness spreads in the throat with a fresh and sharp taste.
Spicy dryness.
It is a mellow, umami Junmai Daiginjo with a strong umami flavor.
The one-cup size bottle has a unique shape, and comes with a chocolate that also serves as the cap. This is a clever and easy to give as a souvenir.
