When I went to greet my relatives in Shuzenji at the end of the year, I decided to buy some local limited edition sake. In Izu, there is a sake brewery called Bandai Brewery, which proclaims itself "Arabashiri," and when I told the owner of the sake shop that I wanted to drink hot sake, he recommended this one. This is a brewery in Fujinomiya.
The spiciness that comes through the nose stands out, and the taste is sweet and thick. I had it with a pork nabe with leek miso.
The place to buy it is Matsuya Shoten, located in the back of the hot spring resort area.
It is snowing heavily over Fuji, but it is a beautiful sunny day in Shizuoka.
