I heard that Nishimura-san, who was a volunteer staff member at the recent Japanese Sake Festival and a good friend of mine, was opening a charcoal grill izakaya Maru in Tenmabashi, near where I work, so Kaorin and I went there on our way home from work 😀 .
It is not a restaurant for a banquet, but it is a nice place to relax and enjoy sake 😇.
Kaorin and I both like fillet of ray, but when we eat it at izakaya (Japanese style bar), it is either undercooked or overcooked and not to our liking, but at this restaurant, we can grill it to our liking.
Nishimura-san had recently visited Shizuoka Prefecture for a sake brewery tour, so this time we mainly had Shizuoka sake 😀.
The only Shizuoka sake I've had is Isobojama and Hatsukame, so it was my first time to try them all 🤣.
Among them, the Hana-no-Mai Aki-Agarashi was the best match for the restaurant's shichirin-aburi, and the synergy between the sake and the food was very tasty 😇.
The sake was a little heavy for our family, but the mellowness and depth of flavor of the Aki-Agarri made it even more delicious 😇.

Hello, Yasube!
Sake life is spreading saké harmony ✨.
I've been looking at it and thinking how nice it is 😊.
I'm a very rare drinker in Shizuoka Prefecture, so this is a good reference for me 🤗.

This is a great izakaya to enjoy sake - I'd like to go there. I wonder if there are similar places in Kanto 🤔.

Good evening, ma-ki-san 😀
I didn't know much about Shizuoka sake either, so this was very informative 😀!
And since I started drinking sake, I don't drink outside anymore, but I liked the atmosphere where I could drink slowly😇.

Good evening, Mr. Manachy 😀
It looks like something that might be there, but you don't see that style very often 😀.
The atmosphere is like a hideout, and I think it's perfect for drinking by yourself or having a drink in a relaxed atmosphere😇.

Good evening, Bekkarl 😀.
If you have a chance, please take a peek 😀.
I just went to a brewery in Shizuoka to stock up, so there was a lot of Shizuoka sake, but they had a lot of other stuff too😇.

Good evening, freelancer man of the first generation 😀.
Since I started drinking sake, I don't drink outside so much anymore because I want to drink slowly, but it was nice to be able to drink slowly and calmly at a restaurant like this 😇.

Good evening, Pon-chan 😀
Kaorin and I were searing the meaty and delicious ray fins, and I was so impressed that I can't eat such delicious ray fins very often 🤣.
Of course, the meat was delicious too 😀.
It went well with sake 😇

Good evening, Jay & Nobby!
Anyway, the atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect for a relaxing sake experience 😀.
The atmosphere was like an adult's hideout, and the sake was served only with the fragrant smoke from the shichirin 🤣.
