On a weekday holiday, I went to Omiya station for lunch.
We went to Izumiya, a landmark of the east exit of Omiya station. It's my favorite restaurant, and it's a great bar that Saitama Prefecture is proud of.
Founded in 1947, it has a retro atmosphere as if time has stopped since the Showa era, and for some reason, it makes me feel very relaxed😌.
The older ladies in the staff (with a sense of stability in their service!) The average age of the customers is over 60 years old. I think I'm the youngest in the shop. Most of the customers are solo.
I heard it was featured in Wakako Sake, but I've never seen a young woman in this shop.
The specialty is stewed motsunomi (170 yen!) and it's a masterpiece of perfection. It's delicious😊.
The bottled beer is Sapporo Lager Akaboshi ⭐️.
I ordered the Taki Masamune warmed, and as it's from the same brewery as Gifu's Shirazen, it has a certain quality that you can enjoy.
The ham cutlet (300 yen) is also crispy and tasty and is a great entrée.
What is it about this short but very heartfelt and fulfilling time?
The bill was 1,270 yen.
Thank you for the meal.

Hi Manachie 😀.
It's a small portion, but the tuna is tender and very well made, a gem of a long-established restaurant.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Good evening, Mr. Hiratcho🌙
When I was drinking alone at Izumiya a long time ago, a senior who seemed to be a regular across from me said to me, "You have a good drinking style.

I haven't been to Izumiya in a while, but I remember how excited I was when I went to The Deep Sembero for the first time, and that place is usually shared.

Good morning, Rigel 😀.
The atmosphere of Izumiya, how soothing.
It has a high ceiling and a lot of space.
Especially during the daytime on weekdays.
There are a lot of solo customers, so it's quiet and you can relax without using your head.

Hi Harry Sakeboy, Good evening🌆
Nagomi is good too👍.
I think that place is also deep and hard to enter at first. 😅
The food is cheap, homey and well vetted.
