Yesterday I celebrated my birthday a month late with members of my friends from elementary school 😆.
I was entrusted with the selection of the restaurant, and when I received the details of the restaurant during dinner with my in-laws last weekend, it turned out to be Nishibata, where I'm having dinner with my in-laws right now 😅.
So we had a delicious meal at N Shibata again at the end of the week 😊.
This time, we asked them to bring in their own alcohol, so we opened a bottle of this one 🍶.
Koeikiku Snow Crescent Yamadanishiki.
We finally got to enjoy the Snocrescent that we see so often at Sake-no-wa 😊.
It has a sake-like sake flavor, but with a fruity aroma, a strong, squashy carbonation on the palate, a citrus-like balance of sweetness, umami, acidity and bitterness, and a citrus-like aftertaste that finishes with a kick!
Wow, this is delicious!
I agree that it looks like grapefruit 😁.
I had heard that the lid often flies off when opening the bottle, so I was opening it carefully when all of a sudden [pop!] I was in a hurry because the shoji was nearby, but there was no damage to the store, so I was relieved 😨.
The owner was kind enough to make sure that the dishes were the same as last time, and we were able to enjoy the seasonal pike conger in shabu-shabu, which was a luxury for us 😆.
This time, we enjoyed "tsukimi saké" (moon-viewing sake) 🌝 with our friends.
