こるね<American Sake with sourness and light bourbon.
The third in our series of overseas SAKEs is from the United States. The brewery is Tahoma Fuji Shuzo in Seattle, Washington. The brewer is an American, Mr. Andy Neyens.
The color is transparent.
The aroma is sour and grainy with a hint of aging. The graininess is like corn from bourbon. By the way, the Spanish "Terrific" and the Canadian "YK3" that I drank before this were aged sake, but this one is not aged because it was made in February 2020. Maybe.
On the palate, a modest sweetness. The sweetness appears a little at first and disappears soon. And the taste is still grainy. The alcohol content is 18%, so it is quite strong. It certainly has a strong alcohol feeling.
If I were to compare it to Ghibli, it would be the "son" of "The Red Turtle". He's a refreshing young man, but he's strong and has a certain wildness to him. He grew up on a deserted island, so he seems to be different from the people back home in many ways.
Satisfaction level: ★★★☆.
I'll post the full version on the blog, complete with character images. If you'd like, you can search for "Korunezake" or visit the link in my profile section.
