My brother was going to visit his relatives in Hokkaido, so I brought him some sake as a gift. I asked Mochizuki Shoten in Atsugi about a local Kanagawa sake, and they introduced me to this one. It is a new brewery that was established to promote the town of Kaisei in Ashigara.
Mochizuki had four different types of Setoichi and explained them to me, but I chose this one with a beautiful label as it was a souvenir.
The first sip was refreshing, but then the bitterness started to come out. It is a bitterness with a sense of alcohol, like when you drink shochu (distilled spirit). It is more dry, but there is a hint of sweetness, and you can enjoy many things in your mouth.
There was no gassy feeling and the aroma was not so strong.
Delicious! I will try to drink more of it in the future as I want to use it as a souvenir as a local sake.
By the way, I heard that you can tour this brewery and compare various kinds of sake at the brewery!
8 days after opening the bottle
I feel that the alcohol has gone out a little and it has become easier to drink. I like it better now than when I first opened the bottle!
