モナリザ
I picked up this bottle thinking it was a picture of Momotaro. I thought it was from Okayama, but it was from a sake brewery in Hyogo. Banshu Momotaro...it's like Tokyo Disneyland in Chiba. It is the closest to what I imagine sake to taste like. I think it is the closest to what I imagine sake to taste like. (I have not had a chance to try the packaged and cup sake yet, so I'm sure my impression will change.) It is a little heavy, a little too sweet, a little too dry, and has a good sharpness to it. It is delicious. I'm drinking it with tomato pasta for dinner, and it's not as bad a pairing as I thought it would be. I might try it with grilled turnips, too. Sake: 13% to 14% abv.
