I bought this along with Shurei when I visited Bando City. Since this sake is also from Bando, I thought I had to give it a try. Bando City is famous as the place where Taira no Masakado died, and this sake seems to be named after him.
The taste was a straightforward classic style that was not at all sweet or fruity, as the phrase "super dry" implies, but instead focused on the umami of the rice. This is the kind of sake that I used to think of as "not undrinkable, but not something I would willingly drink." I tried it heated, on the rocks, and with tea, but could not enjoy it. I tried heating it up, rocking it, mixing it with tea, etc., but could not enjoy it.
