ひるぺこ
This time it is a hiyaoroshi of Harunomine.
It is a sake from Koka City, Shiga Prefecture.
I had it at my part-time job a while ago.
It is served at room temperature.
The color of the sake is a pale yellow.
The nose has a woody, nutty aroma with a rich aroma of rice.
The mouthfeel is slightly thickened, and the rice flavor flows through the mouth with a light, tight acidity. The lingering aftertaste is pleasant, with just the right amount of bitterness and the rich rice flavor gently fading away.
When heated, the rice flavor and acidity blend together to create a rich, chocolate-like flavor that is also delicious.
Sake is a sake made from rice! You can feel it on your tongue.
It is a good sake to enjoy with oden or other dishes for a leisurely evening drink.
I think I'll roast some ginkgo nuts now that I'm feeling better.
Harunomine's wife is a good calligrapher and runs a store selling handwritten T-shirts and other items.
I ordered a birthday gift for her, and was thrilled to see the custom label and the wrapping, which is wrapped like a kimono with a cherry blossom handkerchief underneath in the photo 😆.
I wanted to show you the sake-chan in kimono too, though I unwrapped it before taking the picture to see the label!
