Tochigi Lunch - Night Out Drinking (3)
The first Hidakami was quickly absorbed along with the sashimi, so next we ordered a spicy ten (辛天), which we had been curious about but hadn't had a chance to drink yet!
I took a sip and wondered if it was dry or not ❓It was fresh and dry with even a hint of sweetness 😋.
Nirutaro-san also went to this restaurant at the Kenmin-kai! The menu includes a 3,000 yen omakase 70% course, which is designed so that you can have your drinks with a 70-minute stomach, which is also a hit with the hearts of sake drinkers 😊.
And the restaurant is so busy that you would think it was Friday night? It's so busy that you'd think it was Friday night! It's not far from the station, but this is great ‼️ and the part-timers are very conscious and attentive 👍I wish we could use it for prefectural meetings and such 🤔.
I'm a Michelin guy ⁉️🤣.
Next up was Kouji's Dai-harakuchi Hatsushibori-shibori-which had a nice bitterness and astringency on top of the umami, making it the driest of the bunch 😋Surrounded by all these great snacks, even though I knew I had to drink it slowly, it really made the sake go down the drain!
The course ended with a bowl of rice topped with milt gohan (rice with milt)! It was delicious too!
I'm at about 7 minutes sober and hungry.
But I think I'll drink some more!

I really like this dish! It was a wonderful dish that tickled my sake-drinking fancy 🤗 I think spicy tempura would be good even for a sweet tooth 😋 Maybe we can try drinking out first👍.
