On the way back from the countryside, a stopover at Echigo-Yuzawa Station. In early November, Echigo Yuzawa is past its peak on the ropeway🚡 mountain, but the autumn leaves🍁 on the mountain surface, visible from the Joetsu Shinkansen and beside the Kanetsu Expressway, are beautiful. We stopped by Ponshu-kan for the first time in a while. Ponshu-kan was first opened at Echigo Yuzawa Station. I have probably visited there more than 10 times. As you probably know, it is a paradise for sake lovers, where you can pour sake from the tasting machines lined up on the wall and taste the sake. The price is 500 yen for five coins. First up was a cask of our local Chojamori sake. The familiar Choujamori has a crisp, understated barrel aroma.

Good evening, Ponchan 😊. It's been a while since I've been there, but it was paradise👍. It is located at Echigo Yuzawa station, Nagaoka station and Niigata station. I think you should enjoy Niigata Prefecture without worrying about sightseeing and concentrate on food and sake❗️.

Hiraccio-san, here it is again😊. Choshamori is also Hiraccio's flagship ❗️ I've only been to the one in Niigata and would love to visit the original Ponshu-kan! I also want to ride the longest dragondola in Japan❗️

Good morning, Haruei Chichi 😊. Choujamori is not to be missed by me 😌. Echigo-Yuzawa is nice and empty if you miss the ski season👍. I would like to ride the Dragondola too. It seems to be good.

Good evening Harry Sakeboy😊. I recommend Ponshukan. The ride from Omiya station to Echigo Yuzawa station is less than 55 minutes on the Shinkansen. I like that one in Saitama too👍.
