We have only 3 prefectures left to go before we start our round-the-Japan trip, and we had our first sake from Iwate prefecture, Akabu for the first time 😀.
Actually, the AI at Sake-no-wa has been recommending Akabu for a long time, but I had been looking forward to it until now 😀 I have been a sake drinker since spring this year....
I started drinking sake this spring...spring sake, so I had never had shinshu yet 😅.
Akabu's shinshu...it was so fresh and fruity 😀.
Youthfulness of new sake is good 😀.
And today's dish to go with the sake is the first kasuzu (sake lees) soup of the season 😀.
And the sake lees for this sake lees soup is the sake lees from the izakaya we are good friends with 😀.
The sake lees is moist and mellow, delicious and mildly delicious 😀.
The combination of the sake lees and Akabu's new sake was a perfect combination 😀.

Hi Pon 😀
Your first Akabu-kun was very good 😀.
I was actually thinking of ending the first round with Akabu, but I had it first as the last one is a sake from Kumamoto, where I spent my school days 😀.
