Sake Day is over.
It's getting cooler in Iwate, so it's time to start drinking autumn sake.
(The forecast for the end of the week says the highest temperature will exceed 30 degrees Celsius...)
The first one is Akatake, a famous brand that Iwate is proud of 😆.
When you open the bottle, you'll be greeted with a mild rice aroma😊.
The fruity aroma of Akatake is
It's not available for Hiyaoroshi 😜.
The taste is also not fruity and sweet 😝.
It's a great way to start the day.
The Japanese sweetness with a touch of wasanbon
It makes the sake more elegant😍.
It also has a bitter aftertaste that makes it more refreshing😁.
A well-balanced sake with a sweet, umami and bitter taste.
If you drink it by itself, it's a bit lacking
It's suitable for drinking while eating 🤔.
The only one in Akatake? It's the only Akabuki that can be heated up.
I'll try warming it up tomorrow😎.

I threw in a bit of Akatake as a secret ingredient

Today I went to a supermarket that I don't usually go to because of the special sales...
I met a Hamamusume that was only available in Iwate prefecture😮.
I couldn't buy any due to stock reasons😭.

When I heated it up... the hidden fruity taste was amazing😍.
There's a hint of alcohol in there too.
But more than that, it's got a muscatty sweetness to it🎶.

I'm not a big fan of hiyaoroshi, but
I don't really like hiyaoroshi, but if I were to drink it, I'd probably go for this Akatake or Nabeshima 😀.

I used it for cooking sake, but only about 1 tablespoon lol.
If you like regular Akatake, it's hard to recommend it as it's quite a different direction 🤔.
Oh, and stock up on Nabeshima's harvest moon too!

Hamamusume is a local brand from before Akatake.
I heard that the brewery informed them that they could only sell it to stores that don't sell Akabuki in Iwate Prefecture.
The only place I've found it near me is a supermarket😅.
