I was going to be home late from work, but I finished unexpectedly early, and I didn't want to leave without going home, so I went out drinking alone for a long time ✨.
First, I quenched my thirst with beer and grilled beef skewers, followed by a glass of one of the recommended sakes on display 🍶.
Local Fukui sake "Tsuneyama Junmai Dry Chokuchi Super"!
A faint aroma of rice, a fresh and clear flavor on the palate, and a sharp and clean finish with a hint of bitterness that lingers on the tongue.
The "super" in the name of the sake washed away the umami and fat of the yellowtail sashimi and grilled fried fish that we ordered as our entrée.
I guess the best part of drinking out is that you can create the day's course while worrying about all sorts of things at an izakaya 😁.
