I've been curious about this sake ever since I saw Umaumai's review last year.
Apparently a small bottle went on sale in March, and I came across it at my local supermarket: ✌️
Alcohol 14 to 15 degrees Celsius
The "proprietary yeast produces a fruity aroma more than twice that of regular ginjo-shu."
As the description says, it smells like bananas as soon as it is poured! Even though it is not a ginjo-shu, the aroma is amazing! It is just like a banana!
However, the sweetness is moderate. The aroma may pull you in, but the taste is surprisingly light and refreshing, with a hint of bitterness.
On the second day, the aroma has calmed down a bit and the taste is more discernible. It is light and pungent.
I thought the aroma and taste were not linked, but it is delicious when drunk with food. The aroma could be a little weaker... but it is made to be drunk with food at a reasonable price 🎶.
