The aroma is subdued. A brown sugar-like sweetness is momentarily detected, followed by a watery, refreshing taste. The lingering taste is not harsh and gives the impression of being short. When paired with first dried bonito, the acidity of the bonito enhances the sake and gives it a soft taste.
