It's been a little while, but when my wife went back to her parents' home in Takamatsu, she brought back a souvenir: Kuniju from the Ayagiku Sake Brewery. Recommended by my brother-in-law? It seems to be my brother-in-law's recommendation. It's my first time to drink it.
It seems to be a brand limited to Kagawa Prefecture, made with Kagawa-grown rice, Oceto, and the first sake in the prefecture to bear the toji's name.
When you drink it, it is dry and refreshing!
But is it a little different from "light" sake? Is it firm?
A little sourness, too.
Apparently it has won the gold medal three times in the heated sake contest, so let's try heating it up 🍶.
Yes, this is delicious 😋, it's a little softer and smells softly of sake.
Like rolling it around on the tongue and tasting it?
It might be good for the season when it gets cold and heated sake is good 🥳.
