I was in the mood for something refreshing and crisp.
I chose Akita sake Yamamoto today, following Mansaku no Hana.
According to the story I heard at the liquor store when I bought it
This is the first sake rice to be handled by a sake brewery.
They tried to make a low-polished sake, which they have never done before 🤔.
One of the characteristics of Momota is its low protein content.
I wonder if they tried it because it is suitable for making low-polished sake. 😆
The aroma is a little bit like rumney and a little bit like medicine 🤔.
When you put it in your mouth, you can feel a slight spurt and a solid gas 😋.
I think it's been a while since I've had this kind of sake.
Slight sweetness and too much rich rice flavor.
It seems like it might go downhill.
But just like Yamamoto, it cuts both ways in a single stroke.
It's just too sharp!
It's so crisp and clean that you can say this is what you should drink if you want to drink Yamamoto.
I just made a mistake in the timing of opening the bottle 😅.
I didn't expect it to be this sharp.
I should have opened the bottle on a hotter evening or something 😥.
