January 26 was the first full moon of the year [Wolf Moon], but I had to give up moonshine for work 🆖. Instead, before work, I stopped by a shrine dedicated to a great local man, Hashimoto Sanai, to get a red seal and a good luck charm that is given only on the new and full moons of each month 😁. I prayed for a good tsukimi sake for this year with both of them 🍶 and opened a bottle here. Winter Moon Junmai Ginjyo Nama Sake This time we will taste it in the large sake cup of the moon 😋. Fruity sweet aroma like white peach, slight carbonation on the tip of the tongue, juicy and rich flavor, sweetness, sweet and fruity aftertaste, and finally bitter taste in the back of the throat. As you get used to drinking it, the bitterness fades and the sweet aroma and taste and the lingering aftertaste are like peaches, which are gentler than the moon in the harsh winter night sky. The entrée is Chiba marlin sashimi. I bought this at Sake no Maeda when I got off at Fukuyama, a stopover I always make on my way to Onomichi at the end of October last year! Because of the location, they have both Hiroshima and Okayama sake on tap, which makes for a very appealing lineup ✨. [Sake no Maeda also had another good bottle of Hiroshima sake that I've been looking for for a while, so I'm going to open it to commemorate the complete healing of my knee 😆. I'm going to open a bottle to commemorate the healing of my knee 😆 Tonight, I'm very satisfied with my first tsukimi-sake 🌛🍶.

Hi Gyve 😃 Edible chrysanthemum in the center of the marlin sashimi? It reminds me of a full moon 🌝. I have Jamishin and Shinshin near me, but I can't get them in the winter months, but they look delicious 🎵.

Hi Jive 🐦. Nice red seal with 🌑 and 🌕 ✨It's going to be a great year with your good luck charm 😊. You drank the perfect sake too👍. By the way, it's too bad you couldn't see the 🌕 because it was cloudy here 😢.

Good evening, Mr. Noodle King 🌛. I was just watching "Meshinbo" and saw that marlin in winter is delicious, so I decided to match it 😁. I'd like to try the complete season of "Winter Moon" since there are many different versions ✨.

Good evening, Pon-chan 🌛. I visited the shrine for the first new moon and full moon of the new year after seeing a special feature on a local TV program about good luck charms at the end of last year 😁. It was cloudy that day, but the next night it cleared up and we were able to see a beautiful after full moon!

Good evening, Jive 🌖. Not only do you know a lot about sake named after the moon, but you even know what the full moon is called 😊. I also learned about Wolf Moon on the radio yesterday. It's a wonderful Native American custom 🐺.

Hi Maru! In Japan, names are given to the phases of the moon, but it's interesting that over there they give names to the full moon to show the changing of the seasons 😁.
