The day before my husband's birthday, we had a joint birthday party in Kyoto.
My mother and husband share the same birthday, but this year my sister celebrated her birthday with my mother, so for the first time in a long time, my husband and I spent time together.
We had wine without sake for dinner.
The next day we went to Matsuo-taisha shrine, which is famous as the "god of sake brewing.
I would be happy if I could drink good sake all the time.
Back home, I opened a bottle of this sake I bought at the Takashimaya Sake Festival. I tasted many different kinds and liked it.
It has a fruity aroma despite the retro label. It reminds me of white wine.
I liked the balance of firm rice flavor, acidity and sweetness.
On the second day, the fruity part of the aroma calmed down, and the overall roundness of the wine brought out the full flavor of the rice.
I think this is the first time I have tasted Shiga Watabune No. 2 sake rice.

Good evening, Lutertemi 🌛.
Happy Birthday to you all 🎉!
I too prayed for a lifelong love of sake when I visited Matsuo Taisha Shrine 🥰.
It seems like it would be a blessing to see the [dedicated sake barrel] in the shrine building. ✨️
