Kaorin has been on summer vacation for more than a week, but I've been working as per the calendar 😅.
So today is the last day of our summer vacation, and the fifth and final leg of our usual walking tour of temples, shrines, and sake breweries 😇.
We took the Hankyu and Keihan trains to Demachiyanagi in Kyoto 😀.
After visiting a few temples and shrines in the northeastern part of Kyoto, we went to Matsui Sake Brewery located between Sanjo and Demachiyanagi 😀.
This was a very nice store with a relaxed atmosphere where you can do paid tastings and merchandising if you have a reservation 😇.
We bought a prepaid card for 3000 yen for two people and had our favorite sake at a table 😇.
Kamizo's main sake seems to be a celebration of Kyoto sake rice, but my favorite sake we had today was a summer-only jun-dai made with omachi 😀.
It had a summery acidity and sweetness...I could taste muscat and figs, but it was not clingy and it finished nicely😇.
It was a bit expensive to buy for home, so I got two bottles of junmai and nigori sake recommended by the brewery 😇.

Hi Yasube & Kaorin 🐦.
I see you went to Kamizo 😻Thanks for your time in the hot weather💦I'm curious about it since I like Omachi....
I went last spring and the sake tasting was very different so I want to go back 😆.

Good evening, Yasube & Kaorin 😃.
Your visit to Matsui Sake Brewery is intoxicating ☺️
Kamizo has gorgeous and beautiful bottles, but the sake ware for the tasting at the brewery is also very elaborate and amazing 😊.
It's a great location and I'd love to visit 🚃🚶➡️

Hi Pon-chan 😀
I see that you have been to Matsui Sake Brewery before 😀.
I've always wanted to go back because it was such a nice brewery, but if the tasting changes with the seasons, I'd love to go in a different season 😀.

Hi Aladdin 😀
This was my first time to try Matsui Sake Brewery's sake and it really is a beautiful bottle 😀.
The regular self-serve sake was served in wine glasses, but the nigori sake was served separately and the glasses were special and beautiful 😊.
