Walking tour of temples, shrines and sake breweries 11
Today is a walking tour of Nara 😀.
We started from JR Sakurai station in Nara and walked 17 km from Abe Monjuin Temple to Oyamato Shrine in Tenri via Oomiwa Shrine and Yamanobe no Michi. 🚶♂️
On the way, in front of the gate of Oomigami Shrine is the Imanishi Sake Brewery of Mimuro Cedar 😀.
The store at the brewery only carries the local brand of samorosugi, no mimurosugi at all 🤣.
Lucky for us, we got a bottle of the newest limited edition Ooragarami sake that was just released today 😇.
They didn't offer any tasting at all, so we moved to the branch in front of Miwa station where they offer tasting for a fee 😀.
We had a new sake doburoku, a new sake junmai hatsushibori and a junmai daiginjo dewy leaf style.
I think you can only experience that kind of dobrokku, sweetness, richness and petitiveness at the brewery 😇.
I was also able to get a souvenir for myself, a new brewery limited edition ogara-mi, so it was a very satisfying walking trip😇.

Hi Maru-san 😀
I think going to a brewery is a great way to discover new brands you don't normally see, get unexpected freshly pressed sake, and have many other fun encounters 😀.
Plus you get to walk around a lot, so it's even better 🤣.

Hi Masaaki Sapporo 😀
Ookami shrine is said to be the God of Sake, and Sanmorosugi-san, located in front of the shrine, has been a sake shop for a long time 😇.
Yamanobe no Michi is also an old road that dates back to the Manyo period and was a nice walk!

Good evening, Yasube!
I went there last month too, but they didn't have any limited edition warehouse 😭 Dubrok looks delicious too ‼️
I wonder if that's Imanishi-san's mom? She talks a lot 😁.
Walking 17 km 🚶 that's awesome😁.

Ao, good evening 😀
The mom at the store told me to wait a week for the second fermentation in the bottle before opening the bottle since it was just packed and put on the shelf today 🤣.
I'm getting fat since I started drinking sake, so I have to walk even on my days off😅.

Nice to meet you, Yasube!
I see you visited Imanishi Sake Brewery.
I sometimes meet the brewer at the sake bar where I'm drinking now. I drink only Mimuro cedar.
I drink at a sake bar closer to Sakurai.
I look forward to meeting you!

Thank you, Yasube!
I live in Kashihara, Nara.
I see you are going to Shorokakuji Temple at a good time of the year.
I would be happy if I could join you.
The sake bar I go to is frequented by the brewer of Jikin, Mimuro Sugi, and Kaze no Mori, if you would like to visit.

Thank you, Uncle Jigen 😀
January 11 is the day of the Bodhigoto Sake Festival at Shoreki-ji Temple, where 6 Bodhigoto breweries in Nara will be participating 😀.
I visited the festival last year and enjoyed the sake comparison so I will be there again this year 😇.
