Following the tour of breweries in Nara.
On the second day, we first visited Okura Honke.
I had read on the Internet that you can have a paid tasting at the brewery, and when I asked for one, I was told that the brewery now has a store called "Okura Honke Ekimaenomise" in front of Gotodo Station on the Kintetsu Osaka Line, where you can ask for one.
Incidentally, Okura Honke has three employees: the president, his wife, and a brewer (the brewer and the brewer handle the brewing), and all three employees serve customers at the store in Gojido from 5:00 p.m.
Very unfortunately, I could not go to the store because I had plans for the whole evening, but all Okura fans, not just perverted sake...fans from all over the country should go there! 🍶
I'm sorry for the long preamble, but I immediately enjoyed the Bizen Asahi that I bought as a souvenir.
The first aroma is slightly sweet and sour.
When you put it in your mouth, it has a deep, smooth sweetness and a good acidity.
Like Okura's Hikari no Hi no Hikari, which I had previously enjoyed, it was a sweet and delicious sake that was easy to drink without any peculiarities.
In the fourth photo, Mrs. Okura gave me a bottle of Kinzitsu's light nigori sake lees before it went on sale, as she had come all the way from Tokyo.
The second week of November was unusually hot, so the fermentation progressed and the sake was pressed one week earlier than usual.
I'm thinking of using the sake lees to make sake buns to go with the light nigori. I'm not sure 🤔🍶.
