Yesterday, January 19, was my birthday 🎉. And on the 18th and 19th, I attended a sake seminar by Marie Chiba, a pioneer sake sommelier in Saga, and it was a very meaningful time 😊. At the venue, there were breweries such as Tenzan Brewery of Shichida, Tomikuchiyo Brewery of Nabeshima, Motoyama Shoten of Motomine Tsuru, etc. at the same table 😳It seems that breweries in Saga are really close to each other (maybe I'm biased...) After two busy days, we finally had a toast at home after the date changed 🥂. Last year and the year before, we toasted with "Ryusei" which has the same name, but this time we toasted with a sake named after a dragon 🍶. I started with Hakuryu, which I got as a birthday present from an acquaintance. Cold sake Aroma of ginjo (ginjo aroma) that quickly enters the mouth. Light but gradually expanding volume. The aftertaste is crisp. The freshness with minerality is impressive.
