I read a book the other day called "Late Night Sake Reviews" about this bottle.
I was told that it goes great with okonomiyaki.
I have no choice but to try it.
The aroma that rises from the nose is a grain-like aroma.
In the mouth, there is a bitter flavor reminiscent of caramel and a thick rice flavor.
There is not much sweetness.
As is typical of honjozo, the sharpness is good. It has a light aftertaste.
I drank it at room temperature, but I am sure it would be even better if it were heated.
It is good with okonomiyaki!
The rich and complex flavor of the okonomiyaki sauce is certainly a perfect match for this sake with its bitterness, umami, and sharpness.
