Celebration Hokuriku Shinkansen Fukui opening🚄🎊㊗️🎉
We were planning to visit the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum for our kids' spring vacation, and it just so happened that we were able to go to Fukui on the historic day of the Shinkansen opening in Fukui✨.
On the 16th, the opening day, we went to the Dinosaur Museum during the day, but in the evening we went to the Shinkansen platform at Fukui Station to see the Shinkansen train enter the station 🚄🙌
And the sake I drank that day was Hourai from Gifu, which I bought on the way.
I drank it at the hotel 🍶.
It tasted dry!
I kept it chilled in the fridge, but it tasted better when it was warmer.
The photo of the dinosaur in the upper right is my son taking a picture of the sculpture in front of Fukui station with his camera 🦕.
It was so cute how he pointed his camera at the dinosaur, so I snapped a quick shot from behind 📷.
The bottom right photo is a bowl of rice topped with a bowl of rice topped with shrimp that we had at Mikuni Port Market on the 17th.
Gasa shrimps are rare and hard to find outside of Fukui Prefecture!
These were so sweet and delicious✨!
We had to wait in line for about an hour before we could eat it, but it was worth the wait!
I wanted to drink sake to go with the shrimp 🤣.
