The second night in Toyama was spent at Gingyogoshiki, an izakaya in town.
It was the last night of our trip, but it was a very lively atmosphere, and we had a lot of fun drinking and talking while enjoying the many recommendations on the menu.
The first sake at Goshiki was Katsuma Junmai Sake by Seito Shuzo Brewery.
It was my first sake from the brewery.
Let's start with the sake.
First, the aroma. It smells a little sweet.
When you put it in your mouth, you feel a good balance of umami and complexity.
Then, there is a gentle sweetness.
In the latter half, the salty taste accents the flavor nicely, and this is a really delicious sake.

It is a junmai sake, but it is very easy to drink and has a great umami flavor 😊.
