This is what I drank on my father's birthday the other day! A special Junmai sake from Sake Tomo, a friend of mine gave it to me😄I am happy to have this for such a special occasion.
The aroma is fruity! Peachy, apple-like, with a hint of sourness. It also has a hint of refined sugar. When you drink it, you will find that it has the unique "sweet, delicious, and fruity" characteristics of Imi. The sweetness is more like syrup than sugar. The sweetness is not so sweet with some bitterness and sourness at the end. The aftertaste is well balanced. My father was also pleased with it.
On the back label, there is a note that the current Toji's father passed away... I wonder if it is some kind of coincidence that I drink it on his birthday. I hope my father will live as long as possible.
