たけぽん
Over the consecutive holidays, I participated in the Kyoho no Oka Marathon and went to Yamanashi.
Usually, I go to Katsunuma for grape picking and wine, but this year, I extended my visit to Yamanashi Meiken, which is famous for Shichiken.
There were many different kinds of sake available, but since I was there, I bought a limited-edition draft sake that can only be tasted at the brewery.
It is one of the seven types of "nama-shu" from junmai-daiginjo to honjozo, named after the "Seven Sages of the Takebayashi Forest.
The first sip reveals a subtle sweetness that is typical of nama-zake, but it flows smoothly down the throat and does not interfere with food. I like it.
We enjoyed it with local Okura (okra) and Abura-age (fried tofu).
