Yamanashi is famous for its wine, but surprisingly, it ranked 9th in sake production for the 2013 season. However, it ranked 42nd in consumption. Interesting.
I bought this sake at a supermarket in Uenohara on a business trip.
Of course they had Shichiken and Sasakazu, but I chose Taikan, which I don't usually see. The price is reasonable.
The sake has a mild aroma and a clear feeling. It doesn't have much acidity, but it has a good balance. It is delicious.
3/5 stars.
