Chokki
100 years old, aged for 8 years using germinated brown rice
15 degrees
We visited a brewery in Nagano Prefecture. The brewery, which brews Shinshu Kameari, is located in a wonderful location reminiscent of an Edo period town.
This time, they brewed "100 Reiki" using germinated brown rice. It is treated as a liqueur.
I brought it back to Tokyo and opened the bottle at room temperature.
When I poured it, it had a lot of color. It is indeed aged for 8 years.
The aroma is quite strong. Is it okay?
The first sip.
Ah, it's not as harsh as the aroma. The acidity stands out.
I was expecting it to be like Yomeiju, but it's more like Shaoxing wine.
If you warm it up a bit, it becomes more interesting. It becomes fuller.
I've heard that the germinated brown rice wine brewed by Terada Honke has a strong acidity with a nuka taste. It seems to be close to this.
As a result, I give it 4 stars because I think it is delicious.
If you drink one glass a day for your health, you might be able to keep drinking it until you reach 100 years old. But it's impossible to keep it to one cup a day, isn't it?
