tomyKiso no Kakehashi Sake
There are two product names, Kakehashi and Kari.
This is a doburoku-like nigori-zake made by the Nishio Shuzo brewery at Suhara-juku on the Nakasendo Highway.
The reason for the doburoku "wind" may have something to do with the brewing license. Sake is licensed under the sake license, doburoku under another license.
Suhara-juku still has the atmosphere of an inn town. It does not have the atmosphere of a thoroughgoing lodging town like Magome, Tsumago, or Narai, but it has a certain amount of it.
The stores are only open to one person at a time to prevent coronas. A crisp proprietress was in charge of the shop.
I bought the most popular one, but it was a little troublesome during the trip because it needs to be refrigerated. It is not sweet nigori sake. It is a non-sweet nigori sake with a strength of 19 degrees. It is easy to drink on the rocks or with carbonated water. It is not sweet, so it goes well with cider or tonic water.
It is especially good in summer.
