I drank it at a small restaurant and enjoyed it so much that I bought it as a souvenir to take home.
Sake is made in Japan, the land of rice, and is a drink that is blessed by the gods, but Junmai-shu Yamashiro is even more so!
The ingredients are rice harvested in Kaga City and water from the Yakuoin Onsen Temple in Yamashiro Onsen. The rice and water are then prayed over at the Yakuoin Onsenji Temple, and the toji (brewers) at the local brewery make the sake with great care!
