<Sweet and sour, spreading sweetness, with a hint of bitterness
It was my first time to try this sake, Arando from Yamagata's Sugiyu Warabioka Sake Brewery. It has a sweet taste, so I ordered it for the end of the day. I don't know this brand at all, but it's from Yamagata, so I have high expectations for it.
The color was clear and clean.
The aroma was melon alcohol and a hint of muscat acidity.
When I put it in my mouth, it's sweet and sour... It's fruity and sweet as I expected. From the mid-palate, the sweetness opens up further and becomes bitter. The bitterness lingers in the throat a bit, but it's still delicious!
If I were to compare it to Ghibli, I would say it's like Mr. Caproni in "The Wind Rises. He is a famous Italian airplane design engineer who appears in the dreams of the main character, Jiro. He talks about a very sweet dream, but also contains a bitter taste. The last scene is full of bitterness.
Satisfaction: ★★★★
