I came back from a trip to Tohoku. The sake I bought was mainly hiyaoroshi. Since the days are still hot, here is summer sake. Abeno summer sake. Refreshing blue label. We are in the middle of a scene meal, and like Abé, it is sweet and acidic. But it is not clingy and goes perfectly with the meal. Today, squid radish. I wonder if the aroma is muscat. Koji rice is Gohyakumangoku and Kake rice is Koshibuki for rice. Both are from Niigata. I think Ihyakumangoku has the crispness. Koshi-ibuki is rice for rice, but I guess it does a good job too. Abe-san is not off the mark either.
