Saga Prefecture, Miyagi County. Motoyama Shoten Limited Partnership. TSUGUMI-2024 Purchased at Takashimaya Sake Festival. Today is Respect-for-Senior-Citizens Day, so I opened a bottle of Saga sake from my father-in-law's hometown. We will drink it cold. When I pour it into the glass, there is a little foam on it. The color is clear and slightly yellow. The top aroma is mild, but slightly green apple-like. The mouthfeel is slightly gassy. The taste is well-balanced with an exquisite soft acidity and a slight bitterness, and it tastes like green apples. As the temperature rises, a mild sweetness emerges, with a slight spiciness that leaves a refreshing aftertaste. Low in alcohol and with little sake flavor, this is a modern Kihotsuru. The label is designed to look like a Shinsei Private Lab, but I think they said they put each label on by hand. My father-in-law's comment after drinking it was, "Isn't this better than Nabeshima?" 😁. Ingredients: Rice (domestic), Rice malt (domestic) Rice used: 100% Yamadanishiki, a non-standard variety Polishing ratio: 50% for koji rice, 85% for kake rice Alcohol content: 13%.

Good evening, Nemuchi-san. A pint with your father-in-law on Respect-for-Senior-Citizens Day sounds wonderful ✨. I've never seen this sake before, but I'm intrigued by your review that it's better than Nabe's 😊. It was a good drinking time 🍶.

Hi Nemuchi 😊 I wish I could have gone to the Takashimaya event too 😂. I drank the 2023 Tsumugi from Kifeng Tsuru, and I remember it was delicious. The 2024 San also sounds delicious! Your father-in-law's words make me think more so😍.
