This is Hoyo's first low-alcohol sake. 4gou was sold out, so this is a bottle. They had a 4-gou bottle last week, but I passed it up. I had a hunch that this was the type of sake I would like, so I rushed out to buy it.
The store staff told me that there were still 4 gos of sake left as of this morning. I think I would not have been able to buy it if my timing was off.
It seems that only liquor stores that attended the Meimon Sake Kai event in Tokyo can order this sake. It's the same pattern as Koshi's hidden sake.
The liquor store said it was fire-aged, but I hurriedly transferred it to a small bottle 😅.
The rice used is 100% Manamusume. Lightly cloudy and slightly effervescent. It has a rice flavor, but also a sweetness with a little glimpse of pineapple. It was sweeter and tastier than I expected.
I think it tastes sweeter after a while than when it is freshly opened.
