The "Sake-no-wa Kansai_Hankai Train Charter Off-line Meeting" held on August 26, 2023.
The plan was for 20 participants to bring 20 four-pack bottles and drink them all.
This is the fifth bottle of my check-in.
This sake was provided by Hirupeko.
It is "Takashi Special Junmai Omachi 60 Hi-ire" from Kawanishiya Sake Brewery in Kanagawa Prefecture.
It was also my first time to drink Takashi (Ryu)!
Kawanishiya Sake Brewery is a long-established sake brewery founded in 1897, and is now one of the leading breweries in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Released with the aim of further elevating the quality of their sake, all of their special brand "Ryu" is a limited edition.
This sake is shipped only to about 20 or so trusted sake specialty stores throughout Japan. No wonder you have never seen it 🤔.
This 2019 (R-Gen) BY brew appears to have been bottle heated & stored in a bottle enclosure for about 4 years.
I'm sorry I don't remember the appearance and aroma, but the taste was like a plump and umami swelling, then fullness after the mid-palate, and finally a gentle and smooth clean finish.
Sorry if this is totally different.
But I felt it is a good sake that shows the good points of matured sake without any unpleasant taste!
