This year I want to make Umeshu (plum wine) with Sake! and found some for fruit wine 👀 but not commonly sold around here... hmmm.... Hmmm...? I thought that the sake that the "15 degrees is water 🙂‍↔️" people drink at Sake-no-Wa would have something over 20 degrees. So, here it is. And this year, for the first time in 5 years? And this year, for the first time in 5 years, the temperature is over 22 degrees Celsius. Before that, I tasted a little 🍶 at room temperature. The aroma is of rich, rich rice with a salty flavor like mirin (sweet sake) or mitarashi (sweet sake). When I took a sip, I could not help but say, "Wow, it's delicious! I exclaimed. I could still taste the saltiness, but there was also a sweetness like a Western wine...not quite fruity, but sweet, with a rich umami that made the sides of my tongue squeak and my cheeks drop ✨. To be honest, I was expecting it to be harder to drink, but it wasn't. I was expecting it to be more difficult to drink, but it wasn't. It has a heat that comes on when swallowing, and the temperature in the mouth drops immediately afterwards. The sensation of heat when swallowing and the temperature of the mouth dropping immediately afterwards? It is delicious even when it is warmed up...but if I don't drink enough of it, I will run out of plum wine...next time, I want to drink it normally! It's a fresh sake, but I don't have room in my fridge for a bottle of plum wine. But I learned at Sake-no-wa that Tamagawa can be stored at room temperature, so it should be fine! Looking forward to the finished product 🥳.
