Shichiken天鵞絨の味 純米吟醸

May 14 was both Mother's Day and my father's birthday, so my siblings and my niece and nephew gathered for a dinner party to express their gratitude.
I was thinking of bringing a bottle of something and my dad brought out a bottle of "Shichiken Tenmai Ginjo", so I paired it with a bottle of this 🍶.
It has a slight aroma of melon, a velvety smooth texture on the tongue as the name implies, and a soft umami taste on the palate, followed by a sharp acidity and a short lingering aftertaste.
The astringency from the acidity in the back of the mouth is typical of Yamanashi, where there are many wineries ✨.
I thought about it and remembered that when I received the Shichiken from my uncle [my father's brother] who lives in Yamanashi in the early spring, I received it on his behalf and said I wanted to treat my father to it 😊.
I hope he'll stay healthy forever, so can you please cut down on the amount of alcohol 😅.

Hi Pon, good evening 🌛.
Thank you for your concern for my parents 😆I live close by, but with work and kids in my life, I don't have a chance to drink with my dad, so he was trying to find the right time 😁.

Good evening, Haruei Chichi 🌛.
I just wanted to give something back to my parents who have always taken care of me in so many ways 😁.
My dad drinks too much when he's in a good mood, so it's just a moderate amount 😊.
