I went to Yanagimachi
It was during the Ueda Castle Thousand Cherry Blossoms Festival, but the cherry blossoms were almost in bud and the plum blossoms were just starting to bloom.
But lunch of sakura soba and walnut dumplings was delicious.
Now, where should we stop after this? Kurosawa Sake Brewery, which I saw on TV the day before, 53 minutes from here. But the road to Tateshina seems to be closed for the winter.
We will look forward to the next time and head to Suwa.
We paid a visit to the Suwa-taisha Shimo-sha Shrine, the Akimiya and Harumiya shrines, and stopped by the Mikotsuru store and Sera Masumi before heading back to our lodgings. The cherry blossoms were in bud at Sera Masumi.
