Gekkeikan's new attempt to get people to drink sake on weekdays.
Serve cold.
The initial aroma is a little sour and slightly bran-like.
The color is clear with a yellowish tinge.
The smooth mouthfeel is quickly followed by a sweet and sour taste, with a slight lactic acid bacteria taste at the back.
However, there is no alcohol taste at all.
The sweet and sour taste and the rice taste are similar to Himezen, but clearer and lighter.
It is drinkable and you can tell it is like a sports drink.
With only 5% alcohol by volume, it has less punch and a totally different attack... It is better to drink it at room temperature rather than chilled.
By the way, my wife, who does not drink alcohol, said it was "sweet" after taking a sip. My mother-in-law, who does not have much tolerance for alcohol, said, "What is this? It's so weak!" 😅I thought it was watery. My mother-in-law, who does not have much tolerance for alcohol, said, "What is this?

I've seen the much talked about Argo sold in large quantities at 7-Eleven and I'd like to try it 👍It's not chilled in the store, but from the taste it seems to be better served cold than in hiya 🙄.
