Masaaki Sapporo
9 points (Wife: 8.5 points)
Rice: Iwate rice
Yeast: Iwate yeast
Rice polishing ratio: 50
Alcohol: 13 degrees Celsius
Sake Degree: Undisclosed
Available at: Sakuramoto Shoten Maruyama Store (Chuo-ku, Sapporo)
When the bottle is opened, it is a little gassy.
Low gaseous taste.
Slight pineapple and grape-like top notes
The same gentle aroma as on the top, full sweetness and umami of rice spread with soft acidity, and it finishes with a gentle bitterness and a smooth finish.
It has a gentle balance and is easy to pair with meals, and is of course delicious on its own as well.
It went well with spicy stir-fried pork belly, eggplant and cabbage, leek ball, gizzard and liver stewed in wine, and fried sweet shrimp.
It also went well with fatty red Maltese tuna (marinated and sashimi).
