Purchased at "Wine and Local Sake Takeda" near Okayama Station 🍶 It was a very beautiful liquor store and had a selection of sake from all over Japan. I was intrigued by all the sake from Okayama that I had never seen 😙. I hadn't had nigori draft yet this year, so I decided on this one immediately. It's really exciting to open a souvenir sake 😆. The taste is dry. It goes down your palate quickly, but after it goes down your throat, it hits you on the nose. It's a bit like Takefujima 🤔. The sushi in the picture is a specialty called Mamakari. The name comes from the fact that it was so delicious that everyone was eating the mamakari.

After a day's leave, the taste was rounded out. No sweetness but milky, good mouthfeel. Some acidity.

Good morning, ellie 😃! I only stopped in Okayama for transit on a trip the year before last, but I didn't get to try mamakari, yellow chives and other yummy stuff 😢 I hope to go back there someday!

Good evening Jay & Novi 🌇. Be careful with mamakari, many of them are from Vietnam 😓I guess the catch has been poor in recent years. I had Niimi's Chiya beef for lunch! The chives were a no-mark! Anyway it was a good trip 🤩.
