Today is Sake Day. (Tenichi Day).
There were sake go-arounds in various places, but I can't go because it's a weekday 🤣.
Last year it was on Sunday and it was fun...
Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture. Yamazan Sake Brewery Co.
Yamazan Junmai Ginjo Kinmon-Nishiki Gowari Gobu Unrefined Nama Sake
Yamazan Shuzo has made a great comeback after a hiatus from brewing. Yuki Kurihara, who used to work at Hakurei in Kyoto, has taken over as toji (chief brewer) and brews excellent sake.
One of the 4-goupe bottles brought back from a trip (7/10).
We had it cold.
When poured into a glass, countless bubbles adhered to the bottom of the glass.
The color is clear and almost colorless.
The nose is gentle and gentle, with hints of honey, cotton candy, and grapes.
The mouthfeel is juicy and slightly effervescent.
In the mouth, the complex, rich, and full-bodied sweet aroma quickly passes through to the nose.
The taste has a juicy sweetness reminiscent of grapes and a light acidity.
The richness of Kinmon-nishiki, which is my image of Kinmon-nishiki, is good, and the characteristic bitterness can be felt moderately.
Oh my God, this is soooo good!
I can feel the richness of the dark flavor and fullness and I like it a lot 💕.
